In addition to Swiss machining, we also offer high-accuracy centerless component grinding services. Unlike other forms of component grinding, centerless grinding uses two rotating wheels to grind down materials, rather than a single cutting piece. Centerless component grinding is ideal for small custom components that require tight tolerances, like computer or watch components. 

Traditional lathes, including most Swiss machines, function by rotating a work piece around a horizontal axis while external cutting or grinding tools remove metal from the surface of the piece—eventually resulting in a high-precision, high-tolerance custom component. In contrast, Escomatic Swiss machines rotate the cutting apparatus around the work piece. Escomatic tooling rotates at a speed of 8,000 to 12,000 RPM, allowing them to produce custom components faster.

The increased speed of Escomatic Swiss machines makes them ideal for large production runs of moderately complex components.

Thanks to recent investments in CNC Swiss turning and centerless grinding machines, our production team can produce accurate quick-turn prototypes in a fraction of the time it takes other manufacturers.
