ESCOMATIC
What is Escomatic Machining?
An Escomatic is a cam-driven lathe that uses a unique tooling configuration to produce highly precise parts more quickly than a standard or CNC Swiss lathe. Originally developed in the 1940s by Swiss watchmaker Willy Rosetti, the Escomatic lathe design was intended to produce high-quality burrs for wristwatches. Today, Escomatics are used across the industrial landscape to produce high-precision parts of low- to medium-complexity.
Unlike traditional CNC machines, which rotate stock material on an axis, Escomatic lathes rotate tooling around the material, which remains stationary. This inversion allows Escomatic Swiss machines to complete jobs quickly—without sacrificing tooling quality.

WHY CHOOSE ESCOMATIC SWISS MACHINING?
CNC Escomatic machining offers all the benefits of a standard Swiss lathe while providing increased efficiency and shorter production times for low- to moderate-complexity components. Escomatic CNC machines are also known across the globe for their short downtime and exceptionally low maintenance needs, making them an attractive option for clients that need to process a large number of basic components.
Partnering with Micro-Matics for Escomatic Machining
Micro-Matics is proud to be one of the premier Escomatic Swiss machine shops in the United States. With our team of experts at the helm, we produce critical, ultra-tight-tolerance components for the aerospace, spacecraft, medical, defense, and semiconductor industries, among others.
When industries rely on reliable and efficient components, the top companies in the country turn to Micro-Matics. Our team manufactures Escomatic CNC components based on CAD models, production drawings, and other design documents.
If your needs center around high-quantity – or even multi-year – production runs for pins, rivets, or other high-volume components – the Micro-Matics team has the expertise to deliver.
