PROTOTYPES
Step 1: Project Review
Customers reach out to us with a project to review. The project is brought to our estimating and engineering teams to conduct a thorough feasibility study on the part and project scope.
Step 2: Quote
If there are no follow-up questions for our customers, we will provide a quote within 48 hours to ensure we are moving your project forward as quickly as possible.
Step 3: Prototype Production
After earning your prototype order, we will move your project through production ahead of our current production schedule to help keep your own project progressing.
Step 4: Results Review
After completing the prototypes, we will meet with you to review feedback on how the production went, ideas for enhancing machinability, and to get your feedback on the overall quality of the prototypes.
Step 5: Production
We will show case our capabilities and experience throughout the prototype process. However, if we can assist in any way afterwards to help your project lead to full production, please let us know. We will remain a dedicated resource for you.
Rapid CNC- and Swiss–Machined Prototyping
These days, companies don’t have the time or resources to wait months for a production prototype. At Micro-Matics, we maintain a dedicated prototyping department that devotes itself to undercutting industry lead times and providing accurate and manufacturable CNC- and Swiss-machined prototypes. We specialize in producing functional prototypes with ultra-high tolerances to strict material demands.
Our prototyping department is made up of expert engineers, designers, and managers that work with our clients to outline component specifications and requirements and can even assist in changing prototype design to streamline the manufacturing process. Thanks to our specialized equipment and expert team, our turnaround time for a functional prototype is between two and four weeks.
WHY PARTNER WITH MICRO-MATICS FOR RAPID CNC PROTOTYPING?
Prototyping components before committing to a large-scale production run allows Micro-Matics engineers the opportunity to identify and rectify potential issues in design and manufacturability, including cost drivers, tolerances, and machineability. During the production of a CNC- or Swiss-machined prototype, our engineers and designers remain in constant contact with our clients to provide guidance and suggest targeted design alterations, improving efficiency, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Our prototyping team can produce units based on CAD models, drawings, and other design documents, and we can even provide subassemblies or partial assemblies according to your specifications.
After around two to four weeks, our team delivers your prototype, which accurately represents a single unit in a potential mass-production run. Once approved, the prototype team sends the finalized designs to our engineering team, who begin work on full-scale production. Our engineers and project managers stay in contact with our clients during the entire production run to ensure problems are addressed quickly and efficiently.
Micro-Matics offers a 48-hour turnaround time on prototyping quotes, so what are you waiting for? Request a quote today!
